Covid Safe Changes Starting Wednesday 24th November

From Wednesday 24th November all patients will be greeted by a concierge at the front door.

Patients who have any of the following symptoms will not be permitted in the practice:

  • fever (a temperature of 37.5˚C or higher) or chills
  • cough
  • loss of taste or smell
  • sore throat
  • tiredness (fatigue)
  • runny or blocked nose
  • shortness of breath (difficulty breathing)
  • nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
  • headache
  • muscle or joint pain
  • loss of appetite

If you have any of these symptoms you will be offered a telehealth appointment or you may present to one of the respiratory clinics located around Adelaide.

Any patients who are not double vaccinated:

  • Will be offered a telehealth appointment to begin with.
  • If the doctor decides your health concern requires a face to face consult then you may present with relevant precautions taken.

Patients under the age of 12 may be able to present for a face to face or car park consult due to the inability to be vaccinated. This will still follow strict triaging guidelines and reception will advise the best appointment type for your child.

When you are booking your appointment you will be required to answer the following questions:

  • Do you have any cough, cold, sore throat, runny nose, or fever?
  • Have you received two doses of any covid-19 vaccination?
  • Are you or anyone you have been in contact with awaiting a covid-19 test result or tested positive to covid-19?
  • Have you or anyone you have been in contact with travelled interstate recently?
  • Have read list of COVID like high risk symptoms

Assuming you fit the criteria for all of the above you may proceed to book a face to face appointment following all the below guidelines:

  • You must check in using our QR Code Check In or our manual sign in at concierge.
  • Sanitise your hands upon entry.
  • Surgical Masks (not cloth) are MANDATORY for all patients, visitors and staff – and must be worn correctly by anyone entering the premises at all times.
  • You will be required to attend your appointment alone unless you need to be accompanied by a carer, parent etc.
  • All patients must remain 1.5m apart at all times.
  • You will be required to wait in your car or outside until the time of your appointment. Volume of people in the waiting room will be kept to a minimum.
  • Appointments to be kept to less than 15 minutes.

If you do not follow the above guidelines you may be putting our Doctors, Nurses, Admin Staff and other patients at risk. This may result in our practice being put under unnecessary amounts of pressure and alter the level of service we are able to provide.

We have a zero tolerance policy for abuse towards any of our staff and we expect them to be treated with respect at all times. We aim to provide you the best possible health care during a challenging stage and we appreciate your honesty and patience during this process.
