Fees

As from 1st July, 2022 it is the policy of Woodcroft Medical Centre that all private fees need to be paid in full on the day of consult, including all concession card holders.

A discounted rate is applied to anyone who holds a current concession, pension or Commonwealth Seniors Card.    Please see table below for consult billing rates.

 

We will continue to direct bill Medicare for the following:

  • DVA card holders
  • Children aged 15 years and under
  • GPMPs (chronic disease management plans)
  • Health Assessments (eg 40-49 yo and over 75 yo)
  • Selected treatment room appointments

 

Student Billing
Students with a current Student ID Card 16 years or over will be charged a $20 gap unless the doctor indicates otherwise   (student ID card must be sighted)

 

Obtaining your refund

As a service to our patients we have implemented “TRYO Online Claiming” which enables us to send your paid accounts directly to Medicare instantly via the internet, and giving you an immediate refund back into your nominated savings or cheque account.  Please ask our friendly reception staff to explain this service to you.

 

Or you can obtain your Medicare Rebate via the following:

 

  1. Register your bank details (BSB & Account No) either with Medicare or us here, and the rebate will be deposited into your account within 2 working days.

 

  1. Take your receipt into a Medicare Office to arrange your refund to be EFT into your bank account, Medicare no longer give cash or posting refund cheques anymore.

Any additional procedure at the time of consultation will attract an additional fee.

Bulk billing on Saturday mornings

Anyone holding a government pension or concession card, or a student ID card, consult will need to be paid in full on the day with an out of pocket expense of $20. Please note this also applies to all children under 16 years of age. You can receive your rebate back immediately into your savings or cheque account through our Tyro service.
BUPA- Overseas Student Health Cover-

we welcome overseas students who have current BUPA cover. Please note for patients 16 years and over there will be a $20 gap for consults ( payable on the day of visit). For all children under 16 years – no gap applies.

 

Other Fees –

 

$10 for repeat/lost prescriptions or referrals (please refer to our Repeat Script Request Policy under “about us”)
$5 for BP monitor hire, crutches, walking sticks
