01 Feb Medicare Changes
Please be advised that as of 1st July 2016, Medicare will no longer issue cheques to refund your benefit. In order to receive your Medicare rebate, you will either need to register your bank account details with Medicare or you may use our Tyro machine which will refund your benefit back to a cheque or savings EFTPOS account within a few minutes.
Please ask our friendly Reception staff for a bank account registration form which you may send directly to Medicare.
If you wish to use the Tyro machine, you are welcome to pay via Cheque account, Savings, Credit or Cash and the refund can be placed back onto an EFTPOS card to Cheque or Savings (eg, you might use one card to pay via Credit and then use a separate EFTPOS card to receive your refund, Medicare will not refund onto a Credit Card).
